I wanted to be a Veterinarian when i was 10 years old to taking care of street pets and help them to get better, but i didn't like the veterinary clinic.  It is actually a very important project for me helping street pets to found a home, that is what i’m going to do when i leave university .  Thats one of my dreams. My name is Bárbara Méndez, i was born in Santiago and i'm 23 years old. My love for nature (including animals) started when i was a little girl and my favourite game was playing with earth, but my mama doesn't like it too much because of the dirt. At 10 years old i entered to the Scout group of my School, i went to my first Camp and it was great. Everything i did was playing all day with my friends, sleep in tent and look at the trees, and it was perfect for me.  After that i started to observe the Santiago's trees and plants, and i found a great variety, flowers of every color, different size leaves, small and big trees close to my house and more. The nature has always been there and i wasn´t seeing it.  I wanted to learn more about plants and animals and that's how i decided to study Agricultural Engineering.
